Why is Levy County spending money we didn’t set aside? 

It’s time we talk about "foreseeable" capital expenditures. We all know that roofs leak, vehicles age, and infrastructure wears down. These aren't surprises—they are predictable costs of running a county.
When the County makes major purchases that weren't specifically in the budget, it suggests one of two things:
1. The initial budgeting process was flawed.
2. Our tax dollars are being moved around without the transparency we deserve.
If it’s foreseeable, it should be budgeted. Period. Let’s hold our officials accountable for planning ahead instead of reacting after the fact.
