As a resident and dedicated educator in Levy County, I have seen firsthand how the decisions made by our County Commission directly impact the lives of our students and their families. This is why I am writing today to express my personal support for David Sharpe for County Commissioner.

In my years working within our school system, I have learned that a thriving community requires leaders who prioritize sustainable growth, public safety, and infrastructure that supports our working families. David Sharpe has demonstrated a clear commitment to these values. 

While I am proud of my role as a teacher, I am writing this as a private citizen who cares deeply about the long-term prosperity of our county. We need a leader on the Commission who listens to the concerns of residents and acts with the next generation in mind.

Over the years, David Sharpe and I have worked side‑by‑side on medical calls, responding to neighbors in moments when every second mattered. In those situations, you quickly learn who you can count on. David Sharpe showed the same qualities then that they bring to public service today: calm under pressure, compassion for the people of this county, and a willingness to step up when others hesitate.

During my career, I saw firsthand how important it is to have county leaders who understand the realities faced by first responders, farmers, working families, and the rural communities that make Levy County special. David Sharpe respects the men and women who protect this county and is committed to responsible taxation, transparent decision‑making, and ending wasteful practices that don’t serve the people.

I believe David Sharpe will fight for the resources our first responders need, stand up for our agricultural community, and ensure that every tax dollar is used wisely and effectively. Levy County deserves leadership that listens and leads with integrity. David Sharpe is that kind of leader.

I am honored to endorse David Sharpe for County Commissioner of District 4. I have known Mr. Sharpe for more than 18 years. And, in that time, I have found him to be a man of great conviction. I can say, without a doubt, that when you elect Mr. Sharpe to this position, you will always get his very best. He has served with distinction in the United States Army, and has led men and women as a Lieutenant in the medical field. He has been recognized within every facet of his career, as a man who has worked endlessly as a team player to help others succeed. You can count on Mr. Sharpe to continue this work ethic when representing you as a County Commissioner. The things that are often expected of our public servants -- honesty, integrity, and commitment -- are hoped for, but many times not demonstrated. Mr. Sharpe can be counted on to exhibit these characteristics at all times. His commitment as a faithful Christian man is shown in his service to the Lord and the community at the First Christian Church of Chiefland. I am proud to call him a friend and support him for this most honorable position of serving the people and communities of Levy County as County Commissioner.
